Carina da Rosa

Writer. Editor. Crossword Constructor.

I’m a writer and freelance editor—and I like to think that Tove Jansson’s Moomintroll is my soulmate. If anything, it’s definitely my inspiration for a lot of what I do (like that time I wrote limericks for Google’s offices or created a full-length solo clown show for the Toronto Fringe Festival).

My editing credits include working with playwrights, aspiring novelists, big tech, resume writing agencies, and on published non-fiction books, and I’m currently the editing team lead for a marketing company.

I hold a BA in English Literature and an MA in Theatre Studies and I’ve received Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council grants for my writerly endeavours, which include working on my first novel.

If my nose isn’t in a book, I’m travelling, salsa dancing, and baking (and eating) four-layered cakes. And I currently live in Toronto with my partner where he makes me can’t-live-without carbonara, which just might be the source of creativity and all things good in the world.
